Hi! We’re Yael and Benjamin Resnick. We grew up on opposite coasts of the United States, lived in New Jersey for a while and then Los Angeles, and now we’ve settled in Israel.
Living in the US allowed us to be close to our families. And it was good to be able to contribute to Jewish education from nursery school to high school and beyond. We always planned to make aliyah, but there was so much that we were doing in America! When we realized that our oldest child was almost ready for her Bat Mitzvah, we knew that it was time to move.
We were able to put our plan into action pretty quickly. Within a few months we took a pilot trip, and a few months later we made aliyah. We had good friends who helped pad our landing, and we had the love and support of our families. Even so, it hasn’t always been easy, and it hasn’t always been fun. But this is where we’re meant to be, and we love living in Israel!
